For thousands of years the northern hemisphere has seen these days as a sign of better things to come.
Even before organised religions were established, people in Europe and the rest of the Northern hemisphere saw that we had passed the shortest day of the year.
Days are getting longer which bring more hours of light, more vitamin D and this can only be good for us!
So let’s ring in the new! This is a typical saying in the English language related to the New Year, let’s celebrate the coming of better times.
